MacLaurin to take on Mr Men birthday brief

The MacLaurin Group has been appointed to handle 30th birthday celebrations for the Mr Men.

celebrations for the Mr Men.
The agency was appointed on a year-long media relations and events
brief, starting next January, after a four-way pitch including Vision,
Slam and Herald Communications. Fees have yet to be finalised although
they are expected to reach six figures. There was no incumbent.
’The brief is a mix of marketing and media relations to raise the
profile of the Mr Men brand, increase awareness and drive publishing
sales in its anniversary year,’ said agency MD Brian MacLaurin.
The agency was appointed by Copyright Promotions Ltd which is the
licensing agency for Mr Men merchandising. MacLaurin report to CPL MD
Claire Atherton.
The copyright for Mr Men belongs to The Hargreaves Organisation. Roger
Hargreaves drew the first Mr Man, Mr Tickle in 1971.
