Rigby, who has been at OMD for ten years, is understood to be stepping down to spend more time with her family.

She started her career as a planning researcher at Proximity London moving on to the head of insight role at OMD UK in 2000.

In 2005 Rigby expanded her role to take the head of insight at Omnicom Media Group and was promoted to her current role in 2007 where she is responsible for creating research and communications planning initiatives for the OMD and PHD networks across EMEA.

Rigby headed up the UFO (Under Fifties and Over) research project for the media agency and the R.O.A.R. youth research project.

She was also involved in the OMD UK and Manning Gottlieb OMD MinorityReport ethnic group survey in partnership with research company Starfish.

The survey tracked ethnic groups' media consumption, relationship with brands, the impact of advertising on them, and their attitudes and opinions of life in the UK.

OMD confirmed Rigby's departure from the agency.
