The German-based frozen food business is looking to ramp up its digital strategy for its Chicago Town Pizza brands.

The agency won the account following a five-way pitch. It will now work on a digital strategy across Chicago Town Takeaway, Chicago Town Edge To Edge and Chicago Town Deep Dish brands.

Campaigns will run across social media, web and mobile applications, and Amaze will launch a series of one-off initiatives and micro campaigns later this year.

The new digital strategy follows the German-based frozen food brand's £2.5m investment in advertising in March, as it looked to increase its position in the marketplace.

Paula Wyatt, Dr. Oetker UK marketing manager, said it appointed Amaze as the company demonstrated a grasp of consumer behaviour across the FMCG market.

Liane Grimshaw, Amaze managing partner,  commented: "We strongly advocated that the digital strategy goes beyond the big brand website and engages customers using content and applications that fuel their conversations."

Amaze's clients include Coca-Cola Enterprises, Odeon Cinemas, Dyson, Poppets, The Filthy Food Company, Lexus and Toyota.
