Novartis hunts for online agency
Novartis, the Swiss pharma giant, is planning to appoint three to four agencies as part of a roster to handle the brand's digital and social media strategy, it was reported. It is thought that requests for proposals will go out to about ten agencies prior to pitching. Novartis currently has relationships with several PR networks including Ogilvy PR, Ruder Finn and Hill & Knowlton. Novartis did not confirm or deny.
Pioneer, the consumer electronics manufacturer, has selected Wildfire PR to manage its UK PR activity.
The agency won the account after a three-way competitive pitch. Wildfire will have responsibility for repositioning the global brand as the UK's leading audio supplier and shifting perceptions that Pioneer is only a TV manufacturer. Campaigns director Louise Andrews will lead the account.
Orange, the telecoms giant, has launched a digital campaign in partnership with summer music event the Glastonbury Festival. Visitors to the Orange website will be given the chance to win tickets to the sold-out festival through an online competition. The campaign will run until 9 June.
Ovo Energy has appointed Bottle PR to work on a campaign to promote the company's cheaper and greener energy tariffs. Social media and traditional PR methods will be used to raise awareness of the energy firm's offering. The account was won after a competitive pitch.
Lewis PR has launched a range of bespoke communication programmes aimed at start-ups and small businesses in the UK. The services, named Kick Start, will offer businesses three packages, depending on their marketing requirements and business objectives.
