New hire: Travelodge
Parsons joins Travelodge from The British Olympic Association (BOA), where he held the position of director of sport liaison, a role that saw him advising and promoting British athletes and National Governing Bodies.
He previously served as the BOA's director of comms and public affairs.
Before joining the BOA, Parsons spent seven years with the BBC, working as sports correspondent and also as a presenter on the BBC News Channel.
He also previously worked as sports editor of Sunday Business newspaper and the motor racing correspondent for The Sunday Times.
Parsons will join the Travelodge team on 28 June 2010 and will sit on the executive team. He will report directly to Guy Parsons, Travelodge's newly appointed CEO.
Parsons said: ‘Travelodge has a strong reputation for its approach to PR and I am confident that Adam's high level experience at the BOA combined with his broadcast and journalism expertise will help strengthen our communications function even further.'
