The company called in Corporate Mandate, the division of Mandate Communications, as its first retained retail PR agency following a competitive pitch.

The agency will look to increase the profile Land Securities Retail amongst the broader business community, with a particular focus on its strong thought leadership role within the sector.

Tulchan Communications remains Land Securities' retained financial comms agency.

The company owns 26 shopping centres and 20 retail parks in the UK, including the Lakeside Retail Park in Essex and the White Rose centre in Leeds.

Last month the firm reported pre-tax profit of just over £1bn, but its rental values for our shopping centres and shops fell 6.3 per cent.
