Public Affairs: WS account under review

Engineering and construction giant Balfour Beatty is poised to review its UK public affairs requirements, placing incumbent Weber Shandwick on alert.
Balfour Beatty has held preliminary discussions with a handful of agencies, but is yet to draw up a shortlist.
Director of corporate comms Duncan Murray confirmed that a review of public affairs was under way, adding that he expected Weber Shandwick to play a part in the process.
Balfour Beatty is the largest fixed-rail infrastructure contractor in the world and is currently working on a number of major UK projects including the M25, Blackfriars Station and the London 2012 Olympics aquatics centre.
