Flack
PR Week UK, Friday, 07 May 2010, 12:00am,
1. William Hill sent Flack this picture to promote its Political Derby Stakes - held as one of last week's Greyhound Derby first-round heats at Wimbledon.
William Hills' David Hood said: 'We know politics is "dog-eat-dog" and so is this race.' The prophetic result? The Tories came first, Labour second, Lib Dems third.
2. Do you remember the dance from the 1980s Shake 'n' Vac advert? Edelman and its carpet freshener client is inviting Britons to recreate the dance to celebrate the advert turning 30. To help 'inspire' people, the brand has teamed up with the 'we have no X Factor' pop twins Jedward.
3. Golley Slater's Birmingham PR team had to work through the night for client British Army. The team took regional journalists on a training session to mark the launch of a TA recruitment campaign on 28 April. The PROs donned the camouflage uniform, before being put through their paces. So much for glamorous parties.
