Byrne: new appointment
The former CEO for the UK and Ireland has taken on the continental Europe role from Rolf Olsen who steps down to work on consulting engagements.
Byrne will continue to oversee the UK and Ireland as part of the new role and will continue to report to president Andy Polansky.
Byrne was appointed to the UK and Ireland role in 2003. He has over 20 years’ experience of PR, including stints at the Labour Party, the AA and the national Farmers Union.
He was recently in contention for the vacant top comms role at Downing Street following the recent departure of strategy chief Stephen Carter. That post is yet to be filled.
