UK-based consumer agency Frank PR has entered the US market by opening a New York office.
Jim Dowd, who most rec-ently served as senior vicepresident of national media relations at GolinHarris, will lead the office as MD.
Three staff are working in the New York office but Dowd said the agency was 'looking to hire pretty much monthly as client interest is robust'.
He declined to talk about the firm's client roster in the US because of contract issues, but said: 'We are working with several of the top brands, including one of the leading TV networks.'
Dowd, who worked as director of publicity for NBC Universal from November 2001 to October 2005, said Frank's New York office would focus on entertainment, pop culture, consumer products and consumer technology.
Frank PR's clients in the UK include Southern Comfort, KitKat and Nickelodeon.
