Public Sector: Local services in time warp
prweek.com, Friday, 20 July 2012, 12:00am,
A local government comms expert has suggested that regional public services are struggling to keep pace with technology.
Brighton & Hove head of comms John Shewell writes in this week's public sector column: 'Technology and society are moving together at an astounding pace and most organisations are struggling to keep up.
'Some local public services are really struggling and few have fully appreciated the scale of the change that is happening around them.'
Shewell added that the local public sector still operated '19th century management techniques in the 21st century networked world'.
