City & Corporate: Brunswick's Batchelar to join College Hill
prweek.com, Friday, 06 July 2012, 12:00am,
Former Brunswick director and BBC journalist Tom Batchelar is to join College Hill's corporate practice as a partner.
Batchelar, who is thought to have left Brunswick last week, will begin his new role in August, reporting to College Hill's recently appointed managing partner Tim Fallon.
He has spent the past four years at Brunswick and was previously a broadcast journalist for a decade, working as a producer at Bloomberg and across the BBC at World, the Business Unit, Breakfast and Current Affairs Special Events.
Batchelar represents another key hire for College Hill as the agency looks to rapidly grow following investment last year by private equity firm Vitruvian Partners.
Batchelar will be charged with managing corporate reputation programmes for clients across a variety of sectors, as well as providing crisis management support and strategic counsel.
Fallon commented: 'We are ambitious for the future and Tom will be a great addition to our team. His experience of developing international corporate reputation campaigns along with high-level senior comms counsel is a perfect fit for our growing practice.'
While at Brunswick Batchelar worked for clients including Thomson Reuters, National Grid and Sita UK.
