Simone Drewry: joining Kaper
Simone Drewry joins in January after working as MD of integrated comms agency Mango in Sydney, which is part of the DDB Worldwide group.
She will report to Kaper founder Chris McCafferty.
Drewry will focus on new business acquisition and on working closely with Kaper’s two sister agencies, creative ad agency Karmarama and content production company Kream.
McCafferty said: ‘Simone is one of Australia’s highest profile PR executives and we are very fortunate to have tempted her to join Kaper.
‘Her track record of success with integrated campaigns within a multi-agency environment is the perfect fit for Kaper’s vision. We’re confident she will help drive Kaper’s continued growth.’
Drewry added that she ‘couldn't turn this role down’, pointing to the Karma Communications Group’s ‘truly integrated vision for PR’.
‘In less than two years Kaper has gathered some real energy and momentum and I hope to help build on that. Chris’ reputation is stellar and I can't wait to start working with him.’
Kaper was founded in summer 2010 by McCafferty, the ex-MySpace, MSN and Shine Communications director. Clients include MasterCard, Unilever, Time Out, The Huffington Post and WWF.
