Bloggabase.com, created by 10 Yetis MD Andy Barr and account director Rich Leigh, will be run independently from the agency.

The service enables bloggers to connect with relevant PROs, and allows them to report poorly targeted marketing and ban repeat offenders from the service.

Leigh said: 'This is a war on poor blogger outreach campaigns to ensure people with products to promote are only targeting bloggers that are happy to be contacted.'

Guy Clapperton, who runs the blog lifeover35.co.uk and has joined the scheme, told PRWeek: 'Around 20 per cent of the stories pitched to me are of no relevance. My blog is for men over 35, yet I'll be pitched to about women's perfume and furniture.'
