Constellation Europe owns brands such as Kumala, Hardys, Stowells and Banrock Station. The firm has previously used consumer shops to promote specific brands, but now wants to promote its labels in a more unified fashion.

The firm is understood to be keen to bring in a single agency on a retained account, thought to be worth about £200,000 a year, including project fees.

The wine producer has used Shine on its Echo Falls and Red Consultancy for Hardys in recent times. Pitches are yet to be heard, but it is thought Shine is one of the key names on the pitch list.

The process is being led by European PR and events controller Michelle Norman, who confirmed: ‘We have used a number of agencies to work across a number of our brands and we are looking to consolidate our consumer PR across a number of these brands going forward'

Norman joined the firm in summer 2009 from her role as PR and communications controller at Anheuser-Busch Europe.

Clarion Communications will continue to handle Constellation Europe's trade PR.
