Three PR agencies are set to take their placeat the heart of
Europe in May when celebrations kick off for the 40th anniversary
of the signing of the Treaty of Rome.
Shandwick Marketing Communication in Italy, Marketing Place in
Spain and Euroarts in Germany are handling press relations
publicity for the ’Day for Europe’ festival taking place on 9
May. The festival is being funded by the European Commission with
support from the European Broadcasting Union, Euronews, the
region of Piedmonte and the local authorities of Turin, Madrid
and Stuttgart. It will feature special TV broadcasts and live
music and dance shows in the main squares of those cities.
Signed on 25 March 1957, the Treaty of Rome united Belgium,
France, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy and the Netherlands in the
then European Economic Community.
