Jenny Swift, consumer PR head at supermarket giant Sainsbury’s, is

to join Ketchum Life as one of five directors in January. She will

report to managing director Jane Boardman and work with directors Chris

Wood, Mark Hume and Claudia Crow.

Initially she will not be responsible for running a team, but will

organise training and development programmes across the whole of Ketchum

Life.

At Sainsbury’s Swift reports to corporate communications head Dominic

Fry, and leads a team of 20 with overall responsibility for developing

national, regional and product-specific PR campaigns.

Swift’s post is a newly created one and is part of a move to increase

the management layer at the top of the 65-strong team created from this

year’s merger of Life PR and Scope Ketchum. Boardman said that the two

merged companies are creating a new identity.

Working closely with Boardman, Swift’s work covers staff and motivation

as well as agency product development.

Swift will be a senior-level contact for all clients, particularly the

agency’s biggest names, which include Mars UK, Procter and Gamble and

Carlsberg Tetley.
