He was previously marketing manager for Coronation Fund Managers in London and head of corporate communications for Signet Research & Advisory, a global fund-of-hedge-funds firm, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Marquardt will work in Peregrine's alternative finance group alongside Anthony Payne, Paul Mungo, Max Hilton, and Siobhan Barry.
Previous to his comms career he was a senior financial and media writer for Razorfish and worked as a freelance book and report editor for the World Bank, International Finance Corporation and MacMillan in Washington, DC.
Anthony Payne, Peregrine founder, said: 'Chris has been developing hedge fund marketing programmes for almost a decade, and before that wrote for one of the world's top interactive ad firms. He will be a substantial asset to the team.'
