CIPR announces list of finalists for Excellence Awards 2010

Blue Rubicon will be hoping to retain its Outstanding Consultancy trophy at the CIPR Excellence Awards 2010.

The industry trade body has revealed that Blue Rubicon will be going head-to-head with Stripe Communications, Tangerine PR, Frank PR, Octopus Communications and Brazen PR at this year's ceremony.

The shortlist for the Oustanding In-house Team award includes Nationwide Building Society, Metropolitan Police Service, Financial Times, Direct Line, Essex County Council, EDF Energy and The Royal British Legion.

CIPR acting director general Ann Mealor said: ‘Congratulations to this year's finalists. It's great to see the profession rise to these challenging times to produce such outstanding work. Having faced a rigorous judging process to reach this stage, we look forward to recognising and rewarding the best in the profession at the Awards.'

Shortlisted entrants will be invited for interview in May by a panel of judges comprising senior PR practitioners and experts from the business, media, marketing and advertising communities.

The winners will be announced at the Excellence Awards Dinner at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on Wednesday 16 June.
