Marketing information company Taylor Nelson AGB has hired
Grandfield to handle its corporate and financial PR. Incumbent agency
Brunswick pitched for the account, as well as Financial Dynamics.
Charles Cook, managing director at Grandfield, said: ’The core programme
is to promote the corporate strategy and its success to the financial
media and analysts.
’TN AGB has strong commercial brand awareness but less knowledge among
its financial audience,’ he said.
Since the merger between Taylor Nelson and AGB in 1992, the market
research company has been expanding its product range and international
offering, particularly through acquisition.
In September 1996 TN AGB bought 72 per cent of the Market Research
Bureau of Ireland, and in May this year bought media research company
Gallup A/S in Denmark.
Over 50 per cent of TN AGB’s business is consumer measurement, where it
currently holds 15 per cent of the UK market. Other marketing services
include promotional marketing, telemarketing and database design.
