Financial PR agency Finsbury has hired a fourth board director.

Edward Orlebar, a reporter on the UK companies desk at financial news

agency Bloomberg News, will join the agencies existing directors Rupert

Younger, James Murgatroyd and Finsbury founder Roland Rudd next

Monday.

Orlebar joined Bloomberg in 1995 and specialised in the utilities sector

primarily, but also covered the engineering and construction

industries.

Before joining Bloomberg, Orlebar was based in Guatemala, writing South

American news for the Financial Times and various US publications.

’Ed had a unique insight into a number of companies over four years and

brings that analytical expertise,’ said Rudd, adding that Finsbury,

which was founded in 1994, has grown enough to necessitate another

senior director.

The agency employs 25 people and now represents six FTSE 100 clients,

including gas distributor Centrica, Carlton Communications, Great

Universal Stores and Guardian Royal Exchange.

Finsbury has 35 clients and represents ten per cent of the top 200

companies by market capitalisation.
