3 Monkeys will assume responsibility for running the SCP press office and promoting its annual 'Feet for Life' month.

The agency will also be tasked with engaging the media about foot health issues, promoting the role of professional podiatry and raising the profile of the society.

The appointment comes following the completion of a successful project raising awareness of the June 2009 Feet for Life month which focused on diabetes and foot health. This year's theme will be foot health in pregnancy.

The account will be managed by the consumer health team and led by associate director Anna Speight. They will report into Nita Parmar, director of marketing and communications.

3 Monkeys started work on the account by releasing a story about the dangers of wearing fake Ugg boots earlier this week.
