BORDER LINES: Llorente y Cuenca signs with Extend

SANTIAGO: Spanish agency Llorente y Cuenca has signed an exclusive affiliation agreement with leading Chilean agency Extend. The two agencies first worked together two years ago on a corporate PR programme for IBM, and most recently on the acquisition of Chilean sugar company Iansa by Spanish firm Ebro, the fourth largest sugar company in Europe. Extend is one of the largest agencies in Chile and has 30 staff. General Motors, General Electric and IBM are among its main clients. Llorente y Cuenca founder Jose Antonio Llorente said: ’We are seeing a lot of activity between Spain and Chile. Spain is the largest foreign investor in Chile.’ Llorente y Cuenca already has wholly-owned offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Lima in Peru.
