Morgan Allen Moore wins PFI bidder’s media relations

Morgan Allen Moore will handle media relations and public affairs for Public Private Innovations, which provides services including catering and buildings maintenance to schools through the Government’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI) scheme.

for Public Private Innovations, which provides services including

catering and buildings maintenance to schools through the Government’s

Private Finance Initiative (PFI) scheme.



PFI allows the public sector to outsource non-core services to the

private sector.



Morgan Allen Moore signed the 12-month contract last week following a

non-competitive pitch.



It has been briefed to raise the company’s profile and explain the PFI

bidding process in the media and among local communities. The agency

will also provide parliamentary monitoring for Public Private

Innovations.



Morgan Allen Moore director Richard Moore will lead the account. He

said: ’The Public Private Innovations account demands massive attention

to detail, not only in local and central government, but also in

ensuring a complicated system of financing and infrastructure

development is lucidly and clearly explained in the media.’



Public Private Innovations was formed 18 months ago specifically to bid

for PFI contracts in the primary and secondary education sectors. The

company is headed by chairman and chief executive Bob Wathen, a former

financial consultant for Merrill Lynch.



The firm has reached ’preferred status’ - the final stage in the long

selection process for PFI contracts - on a number of projects which have

yet to be awarded.
