Diary: When Irish eyes are totally bloodshot

The only thing missing were the leprechauns when ex-Financial Dynamics director Sean Bellew had an Irish family reunion.

The only thing missing were the leprechauns when ex-Financial

Dynamics director Sean Bellew had an Irish family reunion.

The bash which was held at the Boyne Valley Park Hotel, a few miles

outside Bellewstown, attracted 175 family members from Ireland, the UK

and Italy.

Sean, whose Irish roots go back 800 years, stepped off the plane into

the bar - not to emerge until 5am. The next morning, Sean could only be

roused when the hotel manager unlocked his door for Bellew’s worried

sister.

But it was cousin Declan, however, who finally woke him up. ’I was in

the shower, when ’room service’ knocked at the door. Thinking one of the

family had been kind enough to send me a Bloody Mary, I opened the door

- to be met by Declan who promptly poured a jug of ice cold water over

my head.’

Families, eh.
