Kerrygold is best known for its butter, but it is also a major supplier of pre-packed cheese to retailers including Tesco, Asda and the Co-Op. It has just opened what it says is the largest and most environmentally friendly cheese factory in Europe.

Phipps has been handed a retained corporate brief to help set the firm’s sustainability strategy, raise its profile and share of voice within the B2B and cheese sector.

The company hired Phipps following a five-way pitch that included incumbent Lawson Dodd and WS Manchester.

Director Emma Turner, MD Nicky Forrest and account director Jo Vyvyan-Robinson will run the account.

Turner said: ‘We are starting to win more corporate business, and our focus is to continue within the food and drink arena but broaden our offering to clients’.

The company recently hired Slice to handle consumer PR for its butter products.
