Strada hires Van Communications to emphasise its Italian authenticity

Popular high street restaurant chain Strada has appointed Van Communications to promote its Italian credentials.

Strada’s operator Tragus Group handed a retained one-year account to Van after the agency approached it.

Agency co-founder Mark Cooper said the agency will attempt to get consumers talking about the brand, emphasising the brand’s authentic Italian credentials. It will spread the message that the food is good quality, with good sourced ingredients and that there is an Italian chef in the development kitchen.

The first project will be to create news and manage PR-driven events to generate local and national restaurant exposure for the 70-strong chain’s spring menus. Additionally, Van will help Strada promote its tenth anniversary.

Tragus Group marketing manager Helen Thompson said: ‘Van’s ideas are adaptable and extendable into a variety of lifestyle arenas. They lend themselves to our changing seasonal menus.'
 
Consolidated will continue to work on Tragus Group’s other brands Bella Italia and Café Rouge. Brunswick, which handles Tragus Group’s financial and corporate PR, also remains unaffected by the appointment.
