The pottery brand is the first client for Lewis’ new consumer and travel practice, to be headed by Julia Perowne, who joins on 1 March.
The agency will manage the campaign across print, broadcast and social media, and will handle some public affairs work. Lewis was awarded the work after it approached the brand.
Lewis COO Paul Charles, who spearheaded Virgin Atlantic’s ‘Still Red Hot’ 25th birthday campaign, said the campaign would focus on Emma Bridgewater’s quirky handmade designs.
‘We can’t wait to start on what is going to be an innovative campaign aimed at raising Emma Bridgewater’s overall brand profile, especially in the social media arena. It is a true showcase of British design talent and craftsmanship,' he said.
Charles added that he believed Lewis would soon be ‘a real powerhouse on the consumer side’.
Emma Bridgewater will continue to use The Ideas Network as its retained consumer PR agency.
Emma Bridgewater is one of the largest employers in Stoke-on-Trent. Each piece of pottery is made by hand following designs created individually by Emma Bridgewater and her husband Matthew Rice.
