Profile Public Relations, the hi-tech business-to-business specialist,

has won a pounds 200,000 account from BT’s data networking division

Managed Network Services (MNS).

The world’s largest data network service, MNS installs and manages

technology which allows companies to shift data between locations across

the globe.

Profile director Jeremy Hunt, who is leading the five-strong team on the

account, explained that the agency would seek to improve MNS’ profile in

the business market through a media relations campaign. Target

publications will include business management magazines as well as

telecommunications and information technology publications.

‘Work will be market led rather than product led,’ said Hunt. ‘The

PRwill support and translate technical messages to a business audience.

We want to show that British Telecom is the market leader and can manage

as well as set up a network.

‘BT is very innovative in the services it offers. This is a great

opportunity to show a creative approach for a major blue chip client,’

he said.

Profile won the account after a four way pitch against incumbent Penn

Communications, A Plus and Spec Communications.
