Penrose Financial has landed a contract to conduct a European

communications audit for international rating agency Standard and Poor’s

(S&P).

Penrose, which was founded this year by four former directors of

Ludgate, won the five-figure account two weeks ago.

S&P, one of the world’s largest rating agencies, conducts research which

evaluates a company or country’s ability to repay its debt. Penrose also

handles S&P’s fund research contract.

The audit, which is likely to last three to four months, will initially

focus on the UK, French and German markets and will be aimed at putting

in place a communications strategy across Europe. The next stage will

focus on the Swedish, Spanish and Italian markets.

Penrose partner Andrew Nicolls said: ’We will be using the findings of

the review to develop a PR strategy to build on S&P’s leading position

in Europe and assist with their expansion into new European

territories.’
