Lewis has decided to take a sabbatical from his role heading up comms at the pharma trade body.

He joined the ABPI three years ago from his role as corporate affairs director at Britvic (PRWeek, 28 March 2007).

The ABPI has already lined up Alison Clough to take over his role. She has been promoted to commercial and communications director.

Clough joined the ABPI in May last year from Innovex, where she held a series of top management roles, including running its UK business. Before Innovex, she had a variety of roles during 15 years at GlaxoSmithKline.
