PR EUROPE: DUBLIN - Foley fails to win Dublin North East

Mairead Foley, who gave up her post as head of public relations for Ireland’s department of social welfare to run for parliament has failed to win a seat in the recent general election. Foley, who ran for the Progressive Democrats in the Dublin North East constituency, quit her job in early March. ’I’m going to continue with political work, advising the party on social policy,’ said Foley, who heard her results on Saturday 7 June.
