British accountancy software company QSP has hired A Plus group to

carry out an international corporate communications campaign across the

US, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

A Plus beat Edelman Worldwide and Dutch-based agency Huntskil Howard in

a competitive pitch to land the business which has an annual budget of

pounds 200,000.

QSP did not have a retained corporate agency although it has worked with

Slough-based Moores Associates in the past. Ludgate Communications’ role

as QSP’s financial consultancy is unaffected by the appointment.

’It’s good to be working at a strategic level with a British company and

helping them develop internationally,’ said A Plus managing director

Mike Copland.

QSP, launched as Quality Software Products in the early 1980s, was

floated in 1993. It has an annual turnover above pounds 25 million and

employs about 500 staff. Qantas, BA, Barclays and Boots are among its

250 clients worldwide.
