Gerritsen takes charge at B-M’s UK marketing arm

Eric Gerritsen, currently market leader for Burson-Marsteller Rome, has been appointed MD of the agency’s UK marketing practice.

Eric Gerritsen, currently market leader for Burson-Marsteller Rome,

has been appointed MD of the agency’s UK marketing practice.



He will be responsible for UK marketing work as well as pan-European

marketing business generated from London. His brief will also extend to

new business.



He is effectively a replacement for Liz Freeborn, formerly managing

director for consumer marketing at B-M. Freeborn resigned in April after

discovering her job was with headhunters.



Gerritsen will be based in London and will report to chairman of

marketing practice Europe, Gigliola Ibba, who is based in Milan.



Gerritsen, who takes up his post on 1 September, joined B-M Italy in

1995. He is a client leader on accounts including Telecom Italia and the

European Union.



Dutch-born Gerritsen’s previous experience includes work with Procter

and Gamble and as director of Italian advertising agency Armando

Testa.
