Weber improves its public affairs clout with Morris

Hi-tech agency The Weber Group Europe has brought in a public

affairs specialist to extend its client services.

Caroline Morris has joined Weber, recently acquired by McCann-Erickson,

from public affairs firm Profile Corporate Communications.

The move comes as clients are increasingly seeking public affairs

capabilities within their existing agencies, rather than appointing a

specialist. ’We are talking about public affairs in the broadest sense -

from community through to legislative work,’ said Morris.

Managing director Greg Levendusky said: ’There is now the opportunity to

take clients into other areas that they may not be working on.’

Morris joins as director of public affairs and aims to turn Weber

Group’s public affairs into a top ten practice in the next three or four

years.

The Weber Group Europe was bought in December last year by McCann

Erickson.

McCann has since bought Ludgate Communications.
