The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is looking for a

new head of corporate communications following the departure of Nick

Goodall.

Goodall has joined the British Wind Energy Association as chief

executive after two years at IMechE. He reported to director of finance

and administration, Robert Howard-Jones.

’We are looking for someone who knows something about mechanical

engineering and the way a non-government organisation works,’ said

Howard-Jones.

The corporate communications responsibilities include organising

celebrations for this year’s 150th anniversary celebrations, market

research and corporate brochures.

The institute awarded the 150 best performing GCSE students pounds 150

as part of their anniversary celebrations.

The professional body draws its 78,000 members from the automobile, rail

and aerospace industries.
