BORDER LINES: CHAMPAGNE: Hunt begins for champagne PR

France’s Comite Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne, the body which promotes champagne, is seeking a new PR agency following its decision not to renew its contract with French agency Opha, which had held the account for over three years. The organisation, which is based in the town of Epernay, has drawn up a shortlist of agencies and is likely to make its decision next week. Opha had handled a campaign aimed at moving the image of champagne away from a drink celebrating special occasions, targeting the specialist wine and food press.
