BORDER LINES: MOSCOW: McDonnell launches Pravda

Former Channel 4 News bureau chief in Moscow, Lawrence McDonnell, has joined forces with Russian advertising agency Propaganda to set up a Moscow-based PR consultancy. McDonnell will be MD of the new generalist PR agency, Pravda. He plans to build the business on his experience of Russian industry and media. ’The opportunity is there for grassroots agencies to take business away from the multinationals,’ he says. McDonnell will provide lobbying and political campaigning services, and help Russian companies to place products in the media and win market share from multinationals.
