Slot joined from Haymarket Group where she was MD of Haymarket Network and will take up her new position in January.

She has extensive experience across the sports, sponsorship and media industries, having previously worked for two years as part of the bid-winning team for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. She was also previously a board director of Fulham Football Club and worked for five years at Adidas International.

Henry Chappell, founder and chief executive of Pitch, said: 'Juliet is a fantastic appointment because she has proven commercial ability combined with a broad understanding of the sports and media industries.'

He added: ‘We have been searching for the right person to fill the role of managing director for some time, and I'm delighted that in Juliet we have found the ideal candidate. Appointing someone of Juliet's capabilities is an important step as we continue the expansion of Pitch's offering in the sports and sponsorship sector.'
