John Stephenson, former-chief executive of defunct healthcare PR firm
MC2, has resurfaced at start-up Keene Medical Communications.
Stephenson has joined the two week-old healthcare arm of Keene
Communications as deputy medical director reporting to group healthcare
director Sarah Lines.
At Keene he will be responsible for areas including public affairs,
crisis management, media relations and medical education. The division’s
clients brought over from the mainstream agency include Fisons and Boots
MC2 was declared insolvent and went into receivership last autumn. (PR

The agency, with its five staff and seven accounts, was bought by Lowe
Bell Communications and became Green Moon Healthcare - a subsidiary of
its consumer agency Green Moon.
Keene has also recruited consultant surgeon Sir Arnold Elton as
principal medical adviser to the agency.
He will oversee the division’s development and take responsibility for
medical politics and government relations, international issues,
surgical sciences, health planning and NHS issues.
