‘Our 60th anniversary is a great opportunity for us to invigorate the ABTA brand both to consumers and to our members,' said head of comms Casia Zajac.

She is faced with the task of modernising the body’s image as well as responding to current travel industry issues including sustainability, the reform of European package travel legislation and hikes in air passenger duty.

Siren PR will handle the majority of the work, while digital travel specialist Digital Drums will handle the digital aspects of the brief. Digital Drum is part of Brighter PR and is run by Steve Dunne.

Siren PR MD Rachel O’Connor said her agency would promote the importance of financial security in holidays, ABTA’s products and customer service.
