BORDER LINES: STOCKHOLM - Information director for IIDEA

The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance has created the post of information director to co-ordinate its gobal communications strategy. The institute exists to promote democracy and is based in Stockholm.

has created the post of information director to co-ordinate its gobal

communications strategy. The institute exists to promote democracy and

is based in Stockholm.



It has an annual budget of pounds 5 million and is funded by 17

countries and by bodies like the International Federation of

Journalists. The information director will report to the institute’s

director general, Bengt Save-Soderbergh and oversee a press and

publications team of eight. PR was previously handled jointly by

publications officer Sara Jane Coxen and senior press officer Cilla

Ungerth Jolis, both of whom will report to the new director.
