STOP PRESS: Robinson joins Dorrell’s team

Former Conservative health minister and party leadership candidate Stephen Dorrell, now a backbench MP, has appointed Lewis Robinson as his political secretary. Robinson, 26, will handle Dorrell’s media relations and speech-writing. He said: ’Stephen is going to be setting out his views on where the Conservative Party should be going in the next Millennium.’ Before joining Dorrell, Robinson was a political adviser to Tory MEP and former leader of the Conservative group in the European Parliament, Tom Spencer, for two years.
