Healthcare: The Week in Healthcare - Cancer report by Novartis

Novartis Oncology has launched an initiative to improve media reporting of breast cancer.

The pharma firm, supported by Red Health, has unveiled its report Achieving Excellence in Breast Cancer Journalism, which was informed by a journalist event held at the National Magazine Company.

GSK head of global pipeline communications Sarah Mathieson has urged healthcare PROs to improve their market access communications. Mathieson was speaking at a workshop hosted by Chandler Chicco Companies, entitled 'Evidence-based Communication in Market Access'.

Creston Health Companies has hired Kamran Abbasi as a senior consultant for digital health.

He joins from Onmedica Group.

The CIPR Health and Medical Group hosted an evening with Conservative shadow health minister Mark Simmonds last week to discuss communicating with NHS patients under a new government. Other speakers at the event included NHS London communications director Stephen Gladwin and the Alzheimer's Society external affairs director Andrew Ketteringham.
