Fashion Cafe hires DDA as it grows in size to sixteen

entertainment PR specialist Dennis Davidson Associates to handle its

international expansion.



The Fashion Cafe, which will this year increase its number of

restaurants in Europe and Asia from five to 16, has been in talks with

DDA since November.



Susan Hook, international PR director for the fashion cafe - which is

backed by models Claudia Schiffer, Elle MacPherson, Naomi Campbell and

Christy Turlington - said the agency would have a more international

brief than Bridgehouse PR, which the Fashion Cafe used to handle its

October London opening.



She said that the chain had stopped working with Bridgehouse earlier

this month but declined to comment on why the relationship had ended or

whether it had been prematurely curtailed.



DDA, which has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Sydney and London will

lead the account from the UK.



Bridgehouse, meanwhile, has been hired by another themed restaurant

chain, the Motown Cafe. The agency is handling all PR and promotional

activity for the opening of the chain’s London branch, its third

international venue.



The Motown Cafe chain, which has sites in New York and Las Vegas, is

themed around Motown music, and features live acts covering hits from

the black music label.
