Mondex International, the international franchising arm of the smartcard
system created as an alternative to cash, is hunting for an in-house
head of communications.
The successful applicant will report direct to Mondex International head
of marketing Mark Gordon.
In-house communications had been handled by David Morton but he left to
become a freelance consultant in February.
Robin O’Kelly, a senior consultant at Mondex’s retained consultancy
Shandwick Consultants, has been on in-house secondment since then.
On July 18 this year Mondex - the brainchild of National Westminster
Bank - became incorporated as a separate entity. It is now owned by a
consortium of 17 companies, mostly banks, including NatWest.
