BORDER LINES: BOSTON - Gallagher to head Gillette global PR

The Gillette Company has promoted its corporate PR director Joan Gallagher to the post of corporate PR vice-president - the firm’s top global communications post. She replaces David Fausch, who retired in January after 25 years.

January after 25 years.



Gallagher described her task as conveying the message that Boston-based

Gillette is more than just a razor company. The firm also makes

toiletries and stationery as well as owning Braun, Oral-B and Duracell.

She will report to administration vice-president Robert DiCenso and

oversee a six-strong team. Her responsibilities do not include investor

relations, government affairs or internal communications.
