The Gillette Company has promoted its corporate PR director Joan
Gallagher to the post of corporate PR vice-president - the firm’s top
global communications post. She replaces David Fausch, who retired in
January after 25 years.
Gallagher described her task as conveying the message that Boston-based
Gillette is more than just a razor company. The firm also makes
toiletries and stationery as well as owning Braun, Oral-B and Duracell.
She will report to administration vice-president Robert DiCenso and
oversee a six-strong team. Her responsibilities do not include investor
relations, government affairs or internal communications.
