Media Strategy recruits former DoH press chief

Former Department of Health PR head Romola Christopherson has joined Media Strategy, the agency founded by former Conservative Party communications director Charles Lewington, as an associate director.

Former Department of Health PR head Romola Christopherson has

joined Media Strategy, the agency founded by former Conservative Party

communications director Charles Lewington, as an associate director.



Christopherson is expected to give corporate and government affairs

advice to Media Strategy clients, which include Railtrack and the

Railway Forum.



A career GICS staffer, Christopherson headed communications at the

Department of Health for 13 years, advising Health Secretaries from

Norman Fowler to Frank Dobson.



Lewington said: ’Romola is the doyenne of government communicators. She

combines first class advice with a shrewdness born of experience at the

sharp end of government communications. She also has unrivalled media

contacts in the health and political field.’



Christopherson is Media Strategy’s second recent high profile

signing.



Last month former Road Haulage Association comms head Dan Hodges joined

as an account manager (PR Week, 26 March ).
