The co-founder of Sundial Communications, Nicola Hyde, has joined

Ogilvy PR Worldwide after the consumer and business-to-business PR

agency she started was wound up last year.

Hyde began work at Ogilvy this week as an associate director, reporting

to UK managing director Donna Zurcher. She is working on the agency’s

BBC Licensing and IBM accounts.

Her Sundial co-founder Jane Park is now a freelance consultant. Hyde and

Park, were both associate directors at Lowe Bell Good Relations before

starting Sundial three-and-a-half years ago. The agency won PR Week’s

best new consultancy award in 1997.

The agency counted five staff and its clients included Asda, Czech wine

producer Bohemia Sekt and the conference and banqueting centre at Church

House. It was shut down last October when Hyde and Park parted ways

amicably to pursue different options.

Hyde said: ’I’ve worked with Donna before at Good Relations when she was

the managing director there. We kept in touch and I decided to make the

move into the big agency environment.’

’We decided to bring Sundial to a close because of a change of

circumstances.

It was just a case of moving on to other things,’ she added.
