Agencies can trawl for fresh ideas in Think Tank

Beyond PR last week set up a separate company to sell packages of

promotional ideas to agencies and in-house teams stuck for

inspiration.

The new company, registered separately from the agency under the name of

Think Tank, sells packages of 25 promotional ideas, based on the

client’s brief, for pounds 250.

Beyond PR was set up last year by directors Kirsty Robinson, Rebecca Cox

and Stephanie Maldeghem. Their aim was to act as an extra pair of hands

for other PR firms.

The package, put together by a team including a PR professional, a

journalist and a marketing specialist, can be produced with 24 hours

notice.

Maldeghem said: ’We never recycle ideas, ideas are usually only fit for

one purpose’.

The Think Tank team sign a confidentiality agreement with every client

to protect any commercially sensitive information that could be

contained in the brief.

Beyond PR has been confidentially testing its Think Tank project over

the past year, and has so far sold 120 packages of ideas.

’There are many clients who are not happy with their PR agencies. Either

they can’t see what they are getting for their money, or the PR agencies

dry up on ideas,’ said Maldeghem, explaining the packages’

popularity.

Big Question, p7.
